Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
1. What exactly do you do?
I teach nervous system literacy and sustainable strength.
Through workshops, lectures, retreats, and select private sessions, I help active adults and high-stress professionals understand why their systems don’t always downshift — and what to do about it.
My work blends movement science, breathwork, recovery physiology, and real-world application. The goal isn’t motivation. It’s adaptability.
2. Do I have to be injured to work with you?
No.
Many people I work with aren’t injured — they’re wired, fatigued, tight, or stuck in go-mode.
This work supports:
• recovery between training or shifts
• stress resilience
• sustainable strength
• feeling steady instead of braced
3. Is this physical therapy?
No. I don’t diagnose or provide physical therapy services.
I’m a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and nervous system educator. I use that background to teach movement and recovery strategies — not to replace medical care.
If you need clinical treatment, I’ll refer you appropriately.
4. What kinds of clients do you work with?
I work with:
• Fire service and high-stress professionals
• Outdoor athletes and performance-driven adults
• People recovering from burnout or chronic tension
• Those who feel strong on the outside but depleted underneath
5. How do I know if I need nervous system support?
If you feel:
• wired but exhausted
• tight even when you stretch
• unable to fully relax after work or training
• “on edge” more often than steady
your system may be stuck in activation.
6. What’s your training style?
I focus on practical, physiology-informed movement.
You’ll learn how to:
• build strength without bracing
• recover without completely stopping
• regulate without shutting down
Everything is designed to translate into real life — not just the mat.
7. Do you offer virtual coaching?
Occasionally.
When I offer one-on-one support, sessions can take place virtually. These are not ongoing coaching packages, but short-term, focused sessions designed to support movement, breath, and nervous-system regulation in real life.
Availability is limited and changes throughout the year. If virtual support feels like it might be helpful for you, you’re welcome to reach out and ask..
8. What should I expect in a session?
Every offering follows my core rhythm — Move. Recover. Thrive.™
You’ll learn how to:
• move with more awareness
• regulate your nervous system
• build rhythms that support your real life
• reconnect to your body’s natural capacity
Whether in a workshop, or a retreat, you can expect:
• accessible education
• breath and movement that meet you where you are
• tools for steadier focus and energy
• space for reflection, recovery, and real connection
9. Can I work with you 1:1?
I offer a very limited number of private sessions for people who are already engaged with the work and feel they would benefit from individualized support or integration.
These sessions are not a standing offer and aren’t always available. When they are, they’re focused on movement, breath, and nervous-system regulation — not quick fixes or long-term coaching packages.
If you’re curious whether this kind of support might be appropriate, you’re welcome to reach out and start a conversation..
