Basecamp Check in August - How Capacity Shows Up in Your Body

You’ve probably felt it—

That moment where your body is tight, your breath is shallow, and even small things feel like too much.

That’s your capacity showing up. Or more specifically, your lack of it.

In Basecamp, we often talk about strength as something you build through movement and breath. But strength lives inside your capacity—your ability to hold challenge without tipping into overwhelm.

And here’s the thing:
Physical and emotional capacity are deeply linked.

When your system is at its limit, your muscles tense. Your jaw clenches. Your digestion slows. Your reactions get quicker and more intense—not because you're doing something wrong, but because your body is trying to keep up.

Capacity is the space between the trigger and the shutdown.

This month, your practice is to notice how that shows up in your life. Not to judge. Not to fix. But to build awareness—the foundation for strength that lasts.

Journal Prompt:

💭 What drains you the fastest right now?
💛 What quietly restores you?

Let yourself write without overthinking. Even one sentence is enough.
This is how we start to shift—by noticing.
