December Check-In: The In-Between Month

December has that weird energy — not quite here, not quite there.
One foot in the year that’s ending, one already leaning toward the next.
If we don’t slow down, the whole month just becomes noise.

Inside Basecamp this month, we’re doing the opposite of the grind:
less pushing, more noticing.
Less urgency, more honesty with what your system actually needs.

New This Month: Yoga Nidra Reset

Your portal has a new Yoga Nidra for Deep Reset — a short, guided practice to help your body drop out of “holding it together” mode.

This isn’t meditation.
And it’s not sleep.
It’s that middle space where your nervous system finally unclenches enough to reset.

Find 20–30 minutes, grab a blanket, lie down, and let the practice do the heavy lifting. Your job is just to show up and breathe.

December Reflection

What can I soften before I start again?

Maybe it’s your pace.
Maybe it’s the pressure to “finish strong.”
Maybe it’s the tension you’ve been ignoring because you’ve had to.

Softening isn’t tapping out.
It’s clearing out what’s been sitting under the surface so you don’t drag it into 2026.

Take a minute after your Nidra or your movement session and ask:

  • What’s one thing I can release right now?

  • What expectation can I loosen?

  • What part of me feels done?

Keep it simple. Keep it honest.

Three Micro-Pauses for December

Use these when you feel that familiar “running on fumes” energy:

1. Breath Reset
One slow inhale.
One slower exhale.
Repeat 3 times.
Instant downshift.

2. Transition Check-In
Before you move to the next thing, pause.
Ask: What does my system need for what’s next?
Water? Slower pace? A minute to stare at a wall? Perfect.

3. Evening Softening
Hand on chest or belly.
60 seconds of stillness.
Tell your system: You can land now.

These are small, but they stack.

Closing

December isn’t about reinventing yourself.
It’s about getting honest with what you’re carrying — and deciding what doesn’t get to follow you into the new year.

Show up when you can.
Rest when you need.
Let this month be a gentle reset instead of a sprint.
